Life Cycle
Egg to adult takes from 46 to 116 days.
Habits
Attacks materials of animal origin (feathers, fur, wools, and rugs) and secondarily those of plant origin (tobacco, herbs, almonds, etc). Larva may occasionally cause holes and rarely spin silk on the material. Adults do not feed. The males are active flyers.
Biology
Females lay on average 37-48 eggs.
